5 Most Important Components of an Effective Air-Conditioning System

Your air conditioning system is one of the most important appliances in your home. This is the same appliance that beats the heat from entering into your home and keeps you cool and calm throughout the scorching summer season. A good-quality air conditioning system is very important as you don’t want your AC unit to get damaged every now and then.

An efficient air conditioning system helps you enjoy the much-needed cool air that you need during the hot summers. An air conditioning system in your home operates itself along with the heating units, maintaining the needed level of temperature in your home. It is one important appliance in your home and you must also understand how this system exactly works.

Basically, there are 5 important components of an effective air-conditioning system which condition the air for you. Listed below is the detailed description of the important components of a good-quality and effective air conditioner:

  1. Compressor:

The compressor of an air-conditioning system is considered to be the engine of the unit. Thus, the compressor is the most important component of your AC unit. This functions together along with a substance known as working fluid. Together, they help to transform the gas into a liquid. The main role played by the compressor in your air conditioning system is the conversion of lower pressure gas into higher pressure gas. In the said process, the gap regions present between molecules are narrowed down. This helps to create energized gas. The energized gas then comes out of the compressor and enters into the condenser respectively.

  1. Condenser Coil:

Another important component of your air conditioning system is the condenser or condenser coil. A fan is fitted into the condenser coil that helps to cool down the high-pressure gas and then convert it back into a liquid material. The obtained product is then taken to the next part of the air conditioning system known as the evaporator. Both the compressor and condenser of the AC unit are installed outside the house.

  1. Evaporator:

Another important part of your air conditioning system is the evaporator. This one is located inside your house near the furnace. An evaporator is linked with the condenser through a thin pipe. The high-pressure gas that has now transformed into a lower pressure liquid reaches to this section of your AC unit. The pressure in this section gets decreased that turns the liquid into gas once again. During this process, the working fluid in your AC unit takes away the heat and cools it off. The working unit then comes out of the evaporator and then the same is again compressed by the compressor.

  1. Air Handler and Blowing Unit:

Both these parts of your air conditioning system work together. They help to draw room air into the evaporator, thereby disseminating the cool air inside your house. Using the aid of the duct, the passage of airflow in the entire room is facilitated and maintained.

  1. Thermostat:

The thermostat of your air conditioning system helps you maintain the overall temperature of your AC unit. This is done by the way of regulating the heat energy which flows inside and outside of the unit. You can set the thermostat automatically or manually, depending upon its features.

All these important parts of your air conditioning system contribute to the smooth operation of your AC unit.
